(ECNS) -- China Coast Guard dispelled four Philippine individuals who intruded into China's Huangyan Island for illegal activities on Sunday.

The spokesperson said that China asserts indisputable sovereignty over the island and its adjacent waters, as well as sovereign rights and jurisdiction over relevant waters.
“China has always firmly opposed the Philippines' infringements and will resolutely safeguard national sovereignty and maritime rights and interests,” the spokesperson said.
